Introduction

As artists one thing we chase with all heart, and often, is an identity, not the existing one that we know or are aware of, but one which we strive to create with our sensibility, to leave behind a precious legacy, a characteristic body of work, to be remembered by. We know that art being subjective can have multiple ramifications through various lenses and therefore, whether abstract paintings for homes or corporate office paintings, the categorisation of artistic voices can be done in multiple ways . It all depends on situational mindsets and resonance to the subject.  For example, if we take just geographies to look at the kind of work being put out, there are a diverse array of paintings for sale in Bengaluru. Whether it be paintings for homes or corporate office paintings, the choice and spectrum of diversity today in subjects, representation and interpretation has always been fascinating. Artists in Bengaluru whether in art galleries of Bengaluru or independent of them, have their robust place in the marketplace and are creating styles of their own, here to stay.

The randomness or premeditated approaches of artistry though, that one might follow to put out work in the market, does not really change anything much about these fascinations. As much as one would imagine one can create, is what most of us Creators trust with our process and our outcomes. There can be no doubt in the fact that there are wavers to be found in the ways one could create, recreate, redefine, rediscover and reflect to manifest and bring out the results in form of paintings for people to see in form, and feel in energy in order to interpret and resonate with leading to an experience and if at all, an investment as conversions tick. So could be the case with sculptures, ceramics, prints, photographs and so much more.

There can be multiple roads to reach the perceived value of paintings especially when they are abstract paintings. The meanings of works and what they can evolve to become with time and space can be pure magic. Created out of what one wishes to feel and make others feel, both ends of the same spectrum but variant energies also. There are ways beyond, that one associates with art if one reflects on what a work of art means to them, why and how, even if unanswered in words, will find meaning and purpose intangibly futuristically. There is always the other side when there is one seen side or one side felt on seeing the work and the other unseen and not yet felt in probability. Perception in the eyes of the viewer also becomes increasingly important to spread the word and for exposure as well as plays a role that is monumental in building goodwill in the industry and for its takers, in potential and present ways.

How we shape spaces with paintings

Spaces therefore take the form that their people wish to give them or make out of them. There are characterisations to spaces that we see more clearly and obviously many a time than others. There can be no dispute in the fact that the people make the place, but so does the art in those peoples’ spaces. I definitely think the people make the space, with the art they choose to put in it or not.

This can be seen in multiple cases such as for example the art that was supposed to go into the 4 seasons hotel at New York vs what actually ended up being there instead of the Rothko’s. At the same time, we see a space like The Rothko Chapel where the space itself is dedicated to the paintings and feeling the spiritual, moving yet simultaneously still nature, meditative and profound nature of the immersive paintings by Rothko. Or even the Seagram Murals in Tate Britain and what they do or not for viewers when they see it.

There are multiple ways one can still experience these lovely works even in a focussed dedicated space. This is how art works make or break a space. Whether it is about creating the character, subtly continuing the energy with a work, or accentuating energies with artworks maybe as a feature but not the most prominent of ones; it is totally up to the people creating and living in the spaces, notwithstanding that it could change with evolving lifetimes and timelines of generations holding collections in their lived spaces as we’ve seen. Characterising spaces therefore hold utmost importance when we speak of how art works add to, or distribute attention and time in spaces.

Speaking of artistic voices and spatial dialogue, whether paintings for home in Bengaluru or corporate office paintings, or it be paintings for sale in Bengaluru, by artists in Bengaluru or elsewhere and even if its art galleries in Bengaluru, specialised or not such as abstract paintings art galleries or customised paintings for sale in Bengaluru, there’s always space and place for dialogue between the art in a room and the room and the artwork itself.

Artistic and Spatial Dialogue

Blending spatial and artistic voices can be done in many ways. Let’s look at some explored possibilities.

1.  There can be a space where the abstract painting is the highlight in the room. The room is centred around this work of art and has all the ability to engross an onlooker and project that energy in a robust, efficient and deep way all across the room and to the people coming in to the space or living there. There is a central method of operative energy there and cannot be substituted by anything else other than the abstract painting. There is a certain particularity and specificity in this requirement and becomes fun due to its profound nature. There also builds a relationship where with time, the abstract painting for the home starts to draw one into the space and acts as a magnet to attract people to come enjoy a particular space with its attractive immersion.

2. There can be a space where the abstract painting is a subtle presence but still very much a presence in the space that ties everything in together at the same time holds individualistic character for itself to contribute and stand its ground in the ambience. These abstract paintings whether abstract paintings for home in Bengaluru or corporate office paintings for sale in Bengaluru, there are many paintings for sale in Bengaluru that can be very aesthetic intensive and perfectly suitable for the space. But still, Creators will tell you there’s nothing like a customised painting for your space that ties it up all together on a different level making it more special than something that one finds ready to pick up.

3. There is also the possibility where a space has an abstract painting which accentuates a certain energy that already exists but needs to just be lifted with the existing elements too that are already almost there creating the needed environment. There is also an important aspect to accentuating energies and aesthetics where the parameters are not just visual but also visceral in terms of how the space feels and how it doesn’t. There are many intangible, unseen, sub conscious facets to these section of aspects that paintings deal with. What we conventionally find as paintings to lift a space need not always define what works best of our space. There are marked differences when it comes to what kind of paintings actually end up lifting a space and which ones don’t and maybe which ones do and don’t in their own ways almost reaching there or often not. What works for one doesn’t definitely work for all. It is never a ‘one size fits all’ game.

4. Explorative and experimental ways with changing around paintings for home to decorate homes with paintings with different art works periodically also causes switches in energies, vibes, aesthetic, visual weight and temperature which are more sub terranean aspects considering the dominance of other elements such as furniture and feature walls these days which everyone includes in home décor and paintings to be factored into. That is also one way though for many people to keep the art work and spatial dialogue active, ever changing and different in nature. Not suggested though if paintings are custom made with specific requirements.

Speaking of which for these paintings to come alive and do what they do for clients efficiently and effectively in their spaces not only presently but for an evolving lifetime, there can be multiple ways to find that strong, unique artistic voice that keeps the art galleries in the radar, that keeps art studios aware, that keeps the art scene on the edge and has the ability top capture eyes and hearts. Artistic voice is not about just geographies like putting up paintings for sale in Bengaluru, or creating abstract paintings for homes in Bengaluru or corporate office paintings in Bengaluru or going to art galleries in Bengaluru or having an art studio in Bengaluru.

Sensibility and Impact

It is also widely about keeping themes and techniques universal and yet finding that individualistic sensibility where one is uncompromised on integrity with representation, message, purpose and clarity of thought as to what one’s work is doing and not doing from the stages of visualisation to execution to exhibition and sale. There can be no traceable start and end to finding the artistic voice. It is a seamless process of learning, exploration, experimentation, focus, practice and then mustering up the courage and market cap to stick to that focussed niche, that’s style, that segment and that service specificity with the paintings.

For example some examples of very strong artistic voices are of course the globally acclaimed artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Picasso, Braque, Cezzane, Gauguin, Botticelli, Rubens, Dali and Da Vinci etc. But there are also the subtler bunch such as Vermeer, Turner, Friedreich, Degas, Magritte, Gaitonde, B V Doshi and so many more. We cannot say either is greater or stronger or better. It is about subjective suitability and what works best in which space. As there are no objective parameters to hold criterion and award a certain template to keep, there can be only subjective assessment topically or personally. There is also the sense of reference when it comes to what from the past have we learned to apply and where or certain technicalities to dwell on in order to lift up the sensorial and experiential aspects of spaces with abstract paintings not only as an element but as a medium or channel to do so functionally. There is however a underlying layer of felt objectivity in this which is that of visual and visceral coordination for memorable impacts.

What one feels is what only one feels because of what one sees and only one sees and maybe the other doesn’t but there can be a felt objectivity in the sense that many people in the same room feel the same way in general about a painting.

Let us look at a widely known famous work such as ‘Guernica’ by Picasso, to understand this better. In general, people feel the pain, agony, horror and fleeting sense of mortality when they look at the painting and experience its energy especially when in person in front of the big immersive painting. That is the legendary impact of a work made out of mastery. When everyone feels it yet each one feels it. There is a deep-rooted individual impact and at the same time a very authentically, emotionally felt objective, collective impact to live with in memory and consciousness which over time becomes subconscious impact of the registered feeling / emotion upon seeing the work and experiencing it first hand or even simply looking at it on a screen virtually to experience it.

Culture of Ambience

There comes along a certain level of uniformity in aesthetic unless eccentric with what we do to decorate our homes or deck up our walls with. Either neutral or colour coordinated or monochrome or themed like disco, jungle, seaside and so on. While all these are cultural influences or energetically influenced in terms of making us feel the energy of neing in a jungle or being at the disco or being by the beach, what paintings do are to elevate the cultural outcome in order to prevent any sudden shift or change in ambience. There can be no variety when it comes to a fixed mind to a work. It is a solo connection or a one-to-one connection rather. There is thus established an unsaid relationship of ambience to get into the thick and thin of it. What we create as a space remains so only until each element is there, to be added or removed either way.

An ambience is accentuated, subtle, silent, interactive, passive, active,  defined, redefined, unidentified, identified, reidentified, misidentified, eccentric , aesthetic, muted, neutral, default, whimsical, choreographed or whim spread only by the way the elements and colours are placed and put out in the space. The factors as we saw above on how to blend in artistic and spatial dialogue come into play the massive role here. Where they become absolutely instrumental in constructing the intricacies and dominant obvious elements in the space. What we think may stand out might be what then takes a seat on the edge but at the back of a forerunner that comes in unpredicted or sudden but a happy accident or a conscious incorporation. Either way, works out! It is about what makes art unique.

What an ambience brings in is a specific atmosphere, an environment that becomes characteristic and identified as ours, or as mine or as something with a sense of belonging and individual intimate relationship with depth and a future of evolution and all heart. There is definitely a level of investment which travels beyond that which is said, told, described and maybe also sometimes beyond what is thereby felt and perceived of. There is thus an undisputed importance to the place in art that the space holds to make a work of art work and work most memorably.

Alongside this dialogue being one facet of the integral role as a consequence of artistic voice there is also an industry-wise role that an artistic voice plays in the long run in lineage and legacy as we’d seen earlier in the article. What we say is a legacy or an amazing oeuvre of an artist is a timeline beyond a lifetime. What we see is a faction actually pf what we get and what we get becomes over time, a faction of what we could get.

Society is built to believe that works live a limited number of years which even today is definitely not true more so with the budding spread of augmented realities, virtual realities, online culture, platforms, websites and of course most significant today, social media. Whether art galleries in Bengaluru or art studios in Bengaluru or Paintings for sale in Bengaluru in general is looked at, we see only a booming industry growing year on year which is a good thing but when people buy abstract paintings for home or even corporate office paintings for that matter, we do see that they know the famous names and have their favourite works of art.

That is exactly the industry legacy we are speaking about ; where it is not only the industry which respects an artist but also the world sees his or her work after they are gone, even after they are long gone. So many greats are spoken about and celebrated even today, centuries after they’ve left from here. Why? Because their works still live within us, thump more life into our lives. Fill not only our eyes with appeal but also our hearts with emotion and provide that depth and integrity uncompromised with strong artistic voice and sensibilities.

Transforming Spaces with Abstract Paintings – A Blend of Artistic and Spatial Dialogue

We therefore do sense the importance and growing significance of our spaces expressing who we are as people and what we want to feel in that space coming alive through our art and décor. Abstract paintings not only provide that limitless energy but also offer free flowing energies with their lack of definition, boundlessness and probably even formlessness. There can be no substitute to what a handmade abstract painting done with pouring all heart and soul, can offer. It is too profound and too intimate a relationship top compare in speciality and nuance. There is never an objective judgement that comes with it either, which is why it becomes increasingly important and gradually evident too that some of the prioritised aspects of spaces with art are only to the tastes and preferences of those inhabiting the spaces and hold places in their hearts in priority thereby.

There is also the facet of what one brings to the table having said that priority of what the art work will do is of the tastes and preferences but the blend still remains the sensibility of the artist meeting the sensibility of the interior designer meeting the sensibility of the people living in the space which is ultimately what it will be a projection of. Elementally and functionally speaking there is a world of difference when this is done in a thought-out conscious manner vs of it is picked of templates or done mechanically in a blindly copied way. It is therefore very important that whether paintings for home or corporate office paintings in Bengaluru whether through galleries in Bengaluru or not, needs to be specific, conscious, relevant, characteristic and express the unique, special, nuanced choices to personify a space.
