I am an artist from India. I embrace painting as the main avenue in my practice. With my work, I explore the materiality of mediums to conceptually convey the intangible. Drawing inspiration from my roots, my works dwell deep into human perception, life energies and nature's splendour.
I began exhibiting in 2013 and have been working on commissioned painting projects in the Indian art scene since 2016. I graduated with my BA (Hons.) in Fine Art Practice from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), UK in 2020 and Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore in 2019.

The mediums chosen for my works depend on three key factors:
One, the concept - what the visual portrayal demands of the concept to offer the preferred viewer experience in the most effective way.
Two, the surface - the surface to a large extent offers the hierarchy for the effectiveness of mediums on it. There is also the posibility that the medium itself is or becomes the surface.
Three, the meaning that a medium may metaphorically convey in relation to the concept.

My cultural roots, the mechanics of human perception, characteritics of life energies and nature's splendour endlessly inspire me.
My works aim at offering individual experiences that are mentally and emotionally immersive, leading to self reflection as the consequence.

The yogic sciences, psychology, global art history and the evolution of how art has played and continues to play cultural, social, political, geographical and economic roles, lend me immense inspiration.
A few art movements that inspire me are post-impressionism, abstract expressionism, cubism and fauvism.
