The world is beautiful but not sayable.” – Charles Simie
Art conveys what words cannot explain. The beauty in art is its unverbal as well as verbal nature. What we see in amny cases is not what we necessarily get. The multiple layers and contextual references make art deeper, more meaningful and special with belonging and emotional regional connotations many a time. When we say beautiful we see a certain aspect that is visual or intangible or meaningfully nuanced to us that makes it impact us in more ways than one to create that memorable imprint to remember and cherish. The mediums as well as facets of art can also play crucial roles in conveying what one wishes to convey as well as how audience(s) receive the same. When Simie here says beautiful but not sayable, we see an underlayer strongly dwelling on some kind of a feeling aspect that cannot be necessarily and need not be necessarily articulated or describable. There can be other ramifications to why some aspects may not be justified with words but stretch beyond the justice that words may do to describe how we feel experiencing a work of art which is why art here is spoken about from the lens of beautiful but not sayable.
