This abstract painting looks at the water body lakes as the mind and in terms of a mental space. Of boundaries but great potential, of urbanism but nourishment and of infrastructure but natural habitat too. The mysterious equation between lakes and cities, their non verbal nature yet a delicate, fragiile thread of cause and consequence, the intricate ripples of black and degrees of purple depict mystery and chemistry of humans and nature in cities where the water bodies of urban age are lakes. As store houses of water, coolness and refreshment, nourishment and so much more, lakes are selfless.

The symbolism is a contained state of mind floating from an extreme density of a void; densely placed, intricate strokes The blacks, purples and greyish tones contrast the pinkish layer to bring in the virtual world’s horizon of the lake. Lakes are also perceived widely as urban bodies of water, with thriving independent ecosystem of its own.
