Om Panchabhutha Ganesha

As a customization, the Tamil script for ‘Om’ is embedded in this painting as a Ganesha silhouette as part of Tamil culture of auspicious beginnings. The five elements have also been incorporated in this semi-abstract painting here as air and space (grey in the background), Water (blue of the body of Ganesha), The oranges and yellows as Fire (petals), Kolams on four corners and Mooshak and Modhak (earthen browns). The flowers represent doing Pooja for God and the rangolis or kolams symbolise a start to the day with our rhyme and ritual. A symmetric canvas (square) has been used here to bring in the equilibrium facet from spirituality.
